private baths

i'm such a fan of bathrooms in general, and white ones in particular! i discovered the privacy and intimacy of this space apart when i was a little girl. i would go into our bathroom, close the door of course, and sit on the floor and bask in the quiet and privacy. loved it! i still love the privacy of the bathroom. and now too, i swoon over pretty ones, soft white or pink towels, claw foot baths, if a chair fits even better for sitting and relaxing while creaming my skin. but my absolute favorite is a bathroom with a window that looks out on a pretty view. it all just seems like positive stimulation for the senses, water, softness, and beauty... delightful is a word i don't use very often, funny. but i think it fits with these sentiments...

Delightful indeed! These are those gold-like moments that we can live through daily, if we just take the time. Traveling to Pleasureland does not have to be expensive. It has to do with how we organize our space, our being and that we appreciate our own company and where we are at that given moment.

Sweet scents make us fly faraway places... how wonderful!

I love bathrooms too - particularly uncluttered light space; preferably with white or faded off-white old vintage deep bathtub and, as you say, a stunning view from the vast window...
lots of precious "me time" on my own...what dreams are made of :)

hi Susu,

i've never thought of it as 'traveling to pleasureland.' this is a wonderful idea that expands my already love of private baths... merci:)

'precious me time...' this does go to the heart of the matter, that time we have to ourselves, precious and deserving of prettiness, before we're off and back in the company of loved ones...

It has taken me years to get to the place I could linger in the bath or shower as when I was young that is when my mother would go through my room. It is nice to finally learn of the pleasures that a bubble bath can give.

Belette,

i imagine it must be a sweet relief to be getting to be able to relax in a nice warm bubble bath. i am such a fan of 'healing.'
