don't try this at home...

though i should not have, i walked through central park the other day at nightime. have you ever done something and thought to yourself 'hope my mom never finds out'? just because you were raised to do and know better. ...but there i was on the edge of the eastside, the park was there and i needed to get to the westside. i didn't have the patience to walk around the park. so i held my breath and jumped in.

don't try this at home, but it was really magical. i followed two other women just to try to stay near other people.

i do know that hanging out in a park at night is not the smartest thing to do, and i'll try to not let it happen... often. that aside, it really was quite magical. all was calm and lighted in a magical sort of way. i took my time and enjoyed the walk as i was on my way to meet a friend for dinner...

hope there's some magic in your day today...

I am so glad you got through the park safely. And, I hate to be bossy but here I go, Sweets, be careful and don't do it again. If you do, take a boyfriend or a big and fierce dog! I am happy you had a magical evening.

Magic. Yep, I got a big gift of magic today. http://tinyurl.com/6aooc7

A sweet tale. I understand the appeal of a walk in the park at night. I'm very glad you stayed close to others, though.

You found magic.....I understand this is a magical park....

Magical, fairy-like... a stolen moment. I know a place like this in Paris. It feels like you're in the midst of the city, yet alone. On a more realistic note, glad you're okay, my dear.

Magical... my today might just be one, like any day. I'm heading to Jardin du Luxembourg with my pastels and notebook. Making the most of the day off and the liberty to dream and wonder around town.

Have a fairy-like day my dear!

Lala, a walk with you in central park would be a dream... come true.

la belette... i hear you girl, your words are duly noted. ...and uh, i think i'll choose the boyfriend over a big fierce dog. it might be a bit more cosier:) i'll be checking out the website you mentioned.

Lavinia, wandering into the darkness can be intriguing, though as much has been said, i'll think twice about it next time, even though it was a sweet walk.

central park is magical, i think mostly because it is a beautiful place to breath. in the middle of nyc and all the busyness and concrete, it is an oasis. thank goodness...

dear Susu, you are so right, a stolen moment it was, glad to be safe and able to tell about it. drawing in pastel colours in the jardin de luxembourg sounds divine...
