work it out

hello dear You, just checking in... I wonder what you are up to today? I'm wondering what you've got on your plate. This past Sunday while out in the early morning warmness I stopped in a cafe for a nice steamy cup of tea and a nice read. the weather was very warm, warm enough to sit outside. I found a little table in a corner on the outdoor terrace and watched gleefully as folks were beginning their day the morning after saturday night. It was wonderful. Some folks sat with the Sunday morning paper, some sat with their babies in their lap, lost in baby sweetness, there were a few soft punkers. I say soft because their way of dressing in all black, including black hair and black sunglasses was quite stylish, not rock and roll hard. friends met for brunch. a bunch of girls stood in a circle in the middle of the side walk talking for a long time. about what, i don't know, but you can be sure I wanted to. there were some student journalists (they appeared to be) on assignment in front of a camera on another corner, practicing their presentations. perhaps one day i shall see them on television. some students sat with their books and lessons for studying. and some folks just popped in for a quick moment to grab a cup of coffee and were on their way walking off into the sunset.

busy with Sunday morning, slow and easy, or on the go in the midst of the warm sunshine for a sweet walk...

i'm just here putting 2 and 2 together in efforts to do what needs to be done, as i am sure you are too as well.

good luck with working it out, and i hope you have a wonderful day...

p.s. i have no idea where i found this picture. i just think it is such a gorgeous workspace... i can see myself there...

That sure is a gorgeous workspace, Audrey. I love the lightness of it. And I want those floors in my own house. We used to have floors like that in my childhood home.
So nice how you've recounted your Sunday morning observations. I pictured myself right there with you at the table, quietly observing the goings on of the world, or maybe in a quiet, yet intense discussion making the other observers wish they could join in.

The place in the pic is marvelous. I'd love to dance and paint there. Let sweet music take the space gently under its lulling control...

I love reading about what you did and how you felt when up and about in the City. This way, I'm there with you. I could just see you there in the café... living NY to the fullest!

I can see myself working their as well! Lovely! I loved this post, I can just picture myself sitting at the cafe, one of my favorite things to do, particularly when I travel. Hope you have a lovely week.

I thought it was you! I was so excited to see you and then a bit disappointed it wasn't you. I got over my disappointment very quickly and then sank into the description of your morning like babies and soft punk rockers. Lovely as always, both your writing and the space you create on your blog.

And thanks so much for the comment you left me yesterday. It means a lot to both Lily and me.xoxo

hey Angie, those floors are gorgeous aren't they? i suppose there are a number of elements about this picture that i love.

i totally hear you about people watching in a cafe, should you be in the middle of an intense conversation in a cafe... i'll be watching;)

Hey RLS, people watching in a cafe when traveling, this is indeed one of my most favorite things to do too. I love seeing the doings of folk in another city. it's fun and enlightening in it's own way...

Madame Susu it seems we all may have to have a cooperative workspace with lots of dancing and painting and writing and fashion styling going on... sweet, non?

ahhhh, dear Belette, it seems i've disappointed you by it not being me there in the photo... but it feels like me;)

guess i'll have to come out of hiding sometime and show me face...

so glad you liked the post!
